FT Capital Group, LLC, a California limited liability company (“FTCG”) owns and operates AGreatAffair.com. FTCG has created and posted this Privacy Statement and Policy so that it may explain and convey its firm commitment to privacy. This Privacy Statement and Policy explains the guidelines and practices that FTCG and AGreatAffair.com follows and which governs the process by which information provided by you is collected, used and disseminated. OUR USE OF THE REGISTRY CREATOR’S INFORMATION

Registry Creator’s First and Last Name. We use this information when registry guests search for a registry creator's webpage and registry on our site. When a registry guest performs a search, we display the first and last names, [plus city and state][plus event type and date], of all of the registries that match the search criteria. We will also use this information in the welcome message to you when you login, as well as in e-mail messages (in the subject and/or the body of the message) that you ask us to send to your friends and family when you want to either send someone the link to your list, or send them a message inviting them to sign up and make their own list.

Special Note: Note that your guests will only be able to find your lists and/or registry if you've checked the appropriate box on your account information page allowing people to search for your lists and/or registry.


Registry Creator’s E-mail. We will use your e-mail for the following:

  • When you've forgotten your password and ask us to e-mail it to you.
  • When we notify your friends and family about your webpage and registry at your request, we may cc: you on that e-mail so that you see exactly what was sent to them.
  • When we print and mail your check to you, we may e-mail you so that you know the check is on its way.
  • When we have news, announcements, reminders, or other information regarding your registry with us, such as new activities you might wish to add or reminders about certain tasks you need to accomplish as your special event draws near.

  • Registry Creator’s Login password. We will use this to identify you in our system.
  • Registry Creator’s Mailing Address and Phone Number. We will only use your phone number to contact you in case of a problem or issue with your webpage or registry. For instance, if a guest buys you an item at the last minute, and it's too late for us to mail you your check, we'll call you to let you know how we're handling the gift payment. We will not use your phone number for solicitation purposes. Your address allows us to mail your check for gifts your guests purchased for you on our site. We also use the city and state fields to allow people to identify your list by name and address, after they've searched for you and found more than one registry with the registry creator’s same or similar names.
  • How Registry Creator found AGreatAffair.com. We only use that information to determine how each of our marketing channels is performing.

OUR USE OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY REGISTRY GUESTS

  • Registry Guest E-mail. We collect the registry guests' email in two different places:
    1. When the registry creator enters it in order to send the registry guest links to their special event web page and registry, and
    2. When the registry guest buys a gift from a registry, they may give us their email address so that we may send them a purchase confirmation.

  • We may use the registry guests' e-mail for the following:
    • Announcements posted on behalf of the registry creator or specifically involving the registry creator they are associated with.
    • To confirm their gift purchase from your registry.
    • Customer support issues regarding their purchase including, but not limited to verifying credit card purchases to prevent suspected credit card fraud, or to help us contact the registry creator in emergencies.
    • We may provide them with a customer satisfaction survey following their purchase.

    Registry Guest Credit Card Information.
    We only use your credit card information to process your purchase.
    We do not collect and store your credit card number. We may keep on file the last 4 digits to help us identify you if a problem arises with your purchase.


    NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTIONS

    You may sign up to receive any newsletters that AGreatAffair.com may choose to offer to registry creators, their guests and anyone else who visits AGreatAffair.com our newsletter. We may collect your e-mail address and your name for purposes of distributing the newsletter to you. We may use your name in the greeting for each newsletter. The e-mail address we collect on our newsletter signup page is used only for our newsletter. If you sign up for our future newsletters, you may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us and request that your name and contact information be removed from AGreatAffair.com’s newsletter recipient list.


    FOR ALL REGISTRIES

    During the registration process, when updating registration information and at other times, you may be asked to provide personal information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, phone, etc. In addition to registration we may ask you for information at other times, including when we make special offers and promotions to users of our site, conduct surveys or sell products. Our online surveys may ask you for contact information (i.e. your e-mail address) or demographic information (i.e. zip code, age, or income level). We use the data from our surveys to help us enhance our services.


    GUEST BOOK

    If you use the guest book feature, you should be aware that third parties will be able to view your messages and if you provide personally identifiable information it may be read, collected, or used by other parties who view it. You acknowledge that you have no right to privacy with respect to messages you may post in guest books. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums.     In addition to the above information, AGreatAffair.com also stores information in the form of cookies.     If you are purchasing a gift from a registry and you choose to send an email announcement of your gift, your email address may be temporarily stored in a cookie that may be deleted upon completion of your purchase.


    THIRD-PARTY TRACKING

    AGreatAffair.com may use third-party web analytics tracking tools that utilize cookies in order to provide us with analytical information. We may use the information we collect to help us make our site more useful to visitors, to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, to resolve compatibility problems with certain versions and types of web browsers, and to gauge how our various partners are driving people to our site.


    CHILDREN

    We recognize the particular importance of protecting privacy where children are involved. We are committed to protecting children's privacy on the Internet and we comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We will never knowingly request personally identifiable information of anyone under 18 years old without their parent or legal guardian’s consent. Also, for anyone under the age of 13, parents and/or legal guardians must complete a Parent/Legal Guardian Consent Form.. By completing this form parents acknowledge that they provided all the information to open an account and/or event registry, and the parent and/or legal guardian is considered the registered member with AGreatAffair.com and agrees to be bound by all the terms and conditions of AGreatAffair.com. On this form a parent and/or legal guardian will be required to provide a telephone number and an email address (if available) in order to comply with COPPA and verify their participation in the registration process. This information will be used for verification purposes only and to communicate with the parent and/or legal guardian regarding the account.


    The information we collect includes registrant name, address, age, email, the type and date of the special occasion, event information, fee structure selected, and cash withdrawal dates for forwarding cash gifts. Only the child's name, type and date of the special occasion, event information, gifts, and the fee structure selected will be accessible to the general public in a searchable database on the site. Withdrawal dates for the cash in registry accounts will be shared only with third-party financial institutions for the purpose of delivering the cash amounts for the child. Use of certain functions of AGreatAffair.com may require the disclosure and/or maintenance of personal information, such as name, e-mail address, postal mailing address, phone number, birthdate and/or credit card information. The information collected by AGreatAffair may be used for purposes such as fulfillment of a requested transaction or record-keeping.


    AGreatAffair.com encourages both parents and children to participate in the registry process together. Parents/legal guardians are encouraged to participate in the registry process with their children and are requested to supervise their children's online activities and consider using available parental control tools to help provide a safe online environment.     In certain limited circumstance listed below, we may collect and disclose personally identifiable information from your child without first obtaining your consent.


    We need to collect your child's name and contact information, and the name and contact information of the child's parent or legal guardian in order to provide the parent/legal guardian with notice of our information practices and to seek consent for the collection and/or disclosure of information about the child.


    We may collect a child's name and contact information in order to respond on a one-time basis to a specific request from a child. We will delete the information after we have responded.
