AGreatAffair.com Affiliate Program FAQ

The AGreatAffair.com affiliate program is free and is easy to join. Simply sign up and we provide you with (1) AGreatAffair.com banner links you can put on your site and (2) an Affiliate Code that you can provide to others.

Any person who clicks on our link on your site and creates a registry with us will be identified with you. Also, any person who enters your Affiliate Code when they register with us will be identified with you. Then any time a person identified with you receives cash gifts towards their registry, we will pay you 14% of the service fee we charge that person. Our service fee is what we charge that person to cover credit card costs and our services generally. Currently our fee is 7%.

As an example, if a person identified with you receives $5000 in cash gifts to his/her registry, we would pay you $50 as an Affiliate Fee.

In order to maximize your Affiliate Fees, we encourage you to display or banner prominently, on as many pages of your site as possible, as well as provide your Affiliate Code (which you will receive upon registration) to your visitors and customers.

What's the AGreatAffair Affiliate Program and how do I incorporate it into my website?

The Affiliate Program allows you to make money by referring people to our website. You can get started by placing links on your site, which direct people to our site. You, alone, decide where on your site to place the links – but placing them where people can see them optimizes your money-making potential You also can publicize your Affiliate Code in your promotional items. Any time a visitor creates an account with us, they simply input your Affiliate Code. By inputting your code, we identify that visitor with you and you earn the Affiliate Fee with respect to that registry.

How do I Become an Affiliate?

Becoming an Affiliate is free and easy. Simply fill out our registration form by inputting your information. That’s it. You can browse our links and choose as many as you want to place on your website. You will also be given an Affiliate Code to distribute however you wish. When a visitor inputs your Affiliate Code, we designate the visitor as a Member associated with your account. With the log-in information we provide, you can log into your account at any time and see the number of Members that have joined through you and track the Affiliate Fee you have earned to date.

What is the Affiliate Fee and how is it paid?

The Affiliate Fee is the commission that we pay to you. It is a share of the revenue you help us generate. Any time you send a person to our website who creates an account and registry, we will pay to you 14% of the fee we charge that person with respect to any gifts that are made to his/her registry. We will pay your Affiliate Fee quarterly.

For example: You place our banner on your website and Anne clicks through to create a registry with us. If she receives gifts equal to $5000 towards her registry, we charge her a 7% registry fee. We pay you 14% of the fee we charge her, in this case, $50. You just earned $50 for doing nothing more than placing our banner on your website.

What's the Affiliate Code and how do I use it?

When you register as an affiliate with us, we will provide you with an Affiliate Code number that identifies you. Anyone that comes to our website and inputs your Affiliate Code when they create an account will be designated as your Member and you will earn the Affiliate Fee for gifts made to their registry.

Am I charged anything to be an Affiliate?

No. AGreatAffair.com does not charge any initiation fee or monthly fees for its affiliate program.

Will AGreatAffair supply me with the links I'll need?

Yes. You will be able to choose from a variety of banner links and text links that you can place on your website. You can access our links at any time by logging into your account.

How will visitors to my website create a registry with you?

When your visitors click on the AGreatAffair link on your site, they will link to www.agreataffair.com for more information. If your visitors create a registry, we will record that visitor as having come from your website. We do the work and you receive a check every quarter for simply adding the link to your website!

Our website will give your visitor the option to create an account and a registry. When any cash gifts are made towards their registry, you will get credit for the gift and will be paid the Affiliate Fee for the gifts made on a quarterly basis.

Please note that our website will NOT replace your website. When your visitor clicks on our link at your website, our site will open up in a new window (leaving the window to your website open).

How will you keep track of the registries that are created from my site?

Once you sign up for our affiliate program, a code is added to our pages that recognizes all traffic to our site from your domain. Our software will track the number of visitors we receive from your site that create an account, as well cash gifts made to their registry. We will then pay you your Affiliate Fee as of the end of every calendar quarter. You can log into your account anytime to view the number of registries created, the gifts made and the commission due to you.

How do I sign up?
